The Rice Business Plan Competition

The Rice Business Plan Competition is the world's richest and largest graduate-level student startup competition.  It is hosted and organized by the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship.
 
Startups participating in the RBPC have gone on to raise more than $1.8 billion in capital and exit funds.

If you would like your desk to be cleaned, please be sure that all items are cleared off. S tore your valuables in a safe place prior to cleaning.

If your trash cans need to be emptied on days when offices are not cleaned, please leave them outside your door to be collected.

Mind&Melody Inc. Awarded D7 Nonprofit Grant

Congratulations to Mind&Melody Inc. for being a Miami-Dade District 7 Coconut Grove $9,000 nonprofit grant recipient!

Mind&Melody Inc. is also a finalist in PhilanthropyMiami's Shark Tank Competition on Thurs. Mar. 9. They will be pitching live and competing for the chance to win $10,000.  
Modulux Lighting Poised for Success

Modulux Lighting has advanced its LED lighting platform to create a compelling, best in class, multi-market product. The company has developed a versatile series of products that have strong potential in five emerging markets:
cannabis cultivation, vertical/urban farming, controlled environment agriculture (CEA), algae photo-bioreactors, and human centric lighting.

Most recently, Modulux added smartphone control which enables growers to customize lighting "on the fly." In addition, initial beta testing in Colorado has validated the effectiveness of their cannabis grow light. With further fine tuning and planned cost reductions, the company is poised to become a market leader in this space.

Aquaco Farms Finalist at Xcelerate Wellington 2.0

The Young Professionals of Wellington held Xcelerate Wellington 2.0 on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the Wanderers Club. Four finalists, including Joe Cardenas, CEO of Aquaco Farms, pitched their companies to a panel of judges for the chance to win a $10,000 grant. Oceana Coffee came out the top winner of the night, followed by runner-up Aquaco Farms.
