Committee Reports

CKI-The club that we co-sponsor at FGCU has invited us to dinner. An invitation will be sent to all members in our club. The celebration is March 2nd at 5:00pm.

Builder's Club-Barbara Hartman reported that the club is wrapping up their annual "Puppy Love" campaign. They are collecting dog and cat food and supplies for the Gulf Coast Humane Society.

Today's Program: Youth Protection

Our speaker was unable to make it today so Harris filled in and did youth protection training with our club. All adults working with youth under the age of 18 at any Kiwanis event are expected to read/understand, agree to, and abide by these guidelines. The policy was adopted by Kiwanis International in October 2016. All members will  receive a copy by email. You will also receive a copy of our club's Youth Protection Policy. It outlines the background screening policy.

The dedication of the Autism Sensory room, called the "Blue Room" at Tropic Isles Elementary was February 9.

Attending were: Harris Segel, Bill & Shar Grant, Ada & John Trapanese, Pat Walton & her grandson.

This was a project funded by our club with additional funding from the Florida Foundation.
