In honor of Random Acts of Kindness Day February 17th, here are some simple ways that you can be kind to our planet.

Did you know that America's founding fathers were sustainable before it was cool? Brush up on history this Presidents' Day with some eco-insight on our founding fathers.

Check out some local leaders in green! An Itasca business cleared out storage space and saved landfill space with SCARCE's help and our schools continue to impress!
February 20, 10am-2pm - Free

Looking for an activity to keep your kids busy this President's Day?  Pop on over to our STEM Open House at SCARCE.  Kids will have a chance to experience hands-on STEM activities and learn about water conservation and quality, energy conservation, solar energy, clean up an oil spill and more!

February 18, 9am-2pm, Free

Scouts are invited to attend Merit Badge University at York High School.  SCARCE will have a booth on energy conservation.  Stop by and take a spin on our Energy Bike.

February 28, 8-11:30am - Free, Register by 02/24

Schools, municipalities, park districts and other large landholders are invited to learn about innovative green infrastructure projects. Hosted by DuPage County Stormwater Management and the Conservation Foundation.
March 3rd-12th, Free

Over 30 locations throughout the Chicago area offer free showings of award-winning environmental films. Local showings: Mar 5th at Elmhurst College, and Mar 7th and Mar 9th at COD. Tickets are free but shows may sell out. Reserve your seats today!

Local Methodist churches are invited to attend this fair to learn how to make their congregations more sustainable. There will be speakers and resource booths - including one from SCARCE.

40+ local high school and college students met with SCARCE this past Saturday. Students left with filming equipment and ideas galore! Stay tuned for their video submissions and to vote for your favorite.

SCARCE now has a book and vinyl record sale open to the public during our Saturday hours. A variety of adult fiction/non-fiction titles and records. Most items $2 or less. Next Dates: Feb 11th & 25th
