The Integrated Training Collaborative (ITC) coordinates Virginia's Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD) which is the professional development system for early interventionists who provide supports and services to eligible children and families under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Accessing Community Resources

Being aware of community resources is an important part of the job of an early interventionist. Service coordinators are the team members with expertise in this area, but service providers should also know what's out there. It's not only important to know about community resources - it's also important to know how to help families access them to meet their own needs. 

Here are some resources to help you build your knowledge base:
totTALKS ON TUESDAYS

Talks on Tuesdays (ToTs) are one-hour webinars designed to provide free online training opportunities related to important topics in early intervention. Topics chosen for the Talks on Tuesdays webinar series are based on feedback from EI practitioners about what they need to know more about! ToTs are held on the first Tuesday of the month from 12:00-1:00PM.

coaching Coaching Implementation Support Project

The Coaching Facilitation Implementation Support Project assists LSMs and local coaching leaders in facilitating book study activities using the  Coaching Facilitation Guide . This project, beginning December 6th, will include monthly online meetings for 6 months to help leaders plan for and facilitate activities with staff to enhance their coaching skills.  We're excited to welcome the following systems to this 2nd cadre:
  • Rappahannock-Rapidan
  • Rappahannock Area
  • Crater District
  • Danville/Pittsylvania
  • Highlands
  • Rockbridge Area
