Thank You for Supporting Parkas & Pints!
The Parkas & Pints - Cuddle-Up Coat Drive event was a HUGE success! Thanks to your support, we collected 36 children's coats, 20 warm sweatshirts and we raised $550 from our raffle and donations. We want to give a special thanks to Jamie Clark, Maureen O'Bryan and Elizabeth Toney for all your help during the event and thank you to the Cabarrus Brewing Company and our many supporters who donated raffle prizes.

All proceeds from the event benefits the Cabarrus Partnership for Children's 10th Annual Cuddle Up Coat Drive.

Program News
Smart Start Scholarship Program
We are currently seeking 4 & 5 Star Child Care Centers to participate as providers for our Smart Start Scholarship Program.

This program assists eligible families residing in Cabarrus County by providing child care financial assistance. Children in this program are ages 0-5.

Child care providers who are interested in serving our children can learn more about the program on our website.
New Support Group: Angeles De Esperanza
Angeles De Esperanza is a new support group for Spanish speaking families of children with special needs.

Head Start Administration Change for 2017-18 School Year
The Cabarrus Partnership for Children Board of Directors recently announced that they will not be applying to renew their grant that funded the Head Start program in Cabarrus County so they can focus on other programs which include NC Pre-K, Smart Start, mental health, and emergency homelessness.

The Partnership initially assumed management of the Head Start program July 1, 2015. The Partnership will continue their responsibilities for the Head Start program through June 30, 2017 and has been assured by Lisa Goldman, Regional IV Specialist for Head Start, that services will not be interrupted during the administrative transition
