Tues., Jan. 24, 1 pm:   "Americans at Play," New Canaan Historical Society.  Come and find out how Americans in the late 1800's and early 1900's spent their leisure time and how they dressed for the occasions.  Don your driving goggles and join us for a private tour of the Exhibit.  Refreshments.  RSVP.  Carpooling.

Thurs. Feb. 2, 1 pm:   Collections, Cocoa and Cookies, Staying Put Office.  Stop by and view members' interesting collections or artifacts and enjoy some cocoa and cookies.  Those wanting to display a collection, please reserve your space by calling Staying Put by Jan. 27.  Collections can be dropped off at Staying Put beginning Feb. 1 from 9 am - 4 pm or bring them to the office between  9 am - 10 am on Feb. 2.  Free.  RSVP.
 
Tues., Feb. 14, 9:30 am:   Men's Coffee, Staying Put Office.  Come in from the cold and enjoy a cup of coffee while joining in on the conversation.
 
Fri., Feb 17, 1 pm:  Lunch at Grace Farms.  Join your Staying Put friends for a casual lunch in this serene setting.  RSVP.

Tues., Feb 21, 12 noon:  Lunch at The Inn at Pound Ridge.  Dine at this casually elegant restaurant created by Chef Jean-Georges.  This is truly seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine, with ingredients sourced from the Hudson Valley and New England. $27.   Carpooling.  RSVP.
 
Fri., Mar. 3, 4-5:30 pm:  Members Art Show at The Inn.  Come view artwork by our talented members and enjoy some refreshments.  Free.  RSVP.
 
Wed., Mar. 15, noon:  Soup's On at Jeanne Gnuse's.  A small group luncheon featuring a sampling of savory soups.  Space is limited.  Free.  RSVP.
 
Fri., Mar. 17, 3:30 pm:  St. Patrick's Day, The Inn.  High School Seniors from the National Charity League in New Canaan have invited our Seniors to enjoy a special holiday celebration.  Refreshments.  Free.  RSVP.

Wednesdays, Jan. 25 and Feb. 22, Free Medicare Counseling, Lapham.  Bill Emmons and Dick Neville are counselors trained by CHOICES.  This program is offered free of charge to New Canaan residents.  Call 203-594-3620 to schedule your appointment.  No drop-ins please.

Fri., Jan. 27, 2:30 pm:  "A Trip to Sicily with Karen and Tom Ferguson," The Inn.  Settle back and take a trip to Sicily with the Fergusons, who will showcase their beautiful photos and share some interesting culture and history.  Free.  RSVP to The Inn (203) 594-5450.
 
Tues., Feb. 14, noon to 3 pm:  Valentine Tea Event at New Canaan Historical Society.  Tea will be served before and after a program at 2 pm.  Fee:  $12 for Historical Society members and $15 for non-members.  RSVP to the Historical Society
