What a wonderful race day! Thank you so much to all of the volunteers, runners, parents, faculty, staff, and vendors.  It was an amazing day and we could not have done it without all of your help!  We had over 760 runners and 27 vendors - more than we've ever had!

Below are a few race day photos.  Check out the link from 904 Fitness for more great pictures.  We will share more photos on the Grace Facebook page and the 8K River Day Facebook page, so make sure you've liked them both.

On Thursday, Grace hosted the Seed Survivor by Agrium mobile learning classroom. Seed Survivor is a free curriculum-based program that teaches elementary children about plants and the importance of agriculture. Our elementary students spent time checking out the interactive mobile classroom and planting seeds.

Caring for Cameroon:  Mind, Body, and Spirit
"Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." 3 John 1:2

We've shared God's love in caring for the minds of the students in Cameroon and it's now time to move forward with our project and help the student body, literally!

This month, we will raise money to buy vitamins and calcium supplements for the village of Akid so that the students will be as healthy as possible. The vitamins and calcium will be delivered to the village by healthcare workers at the beginning of March.

For $5, students can purchase a jeans pass which will allow them to wear jeans (with a regular uniform shirt) to school Feb. 21-24. Chapel attire will be required on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Proceeds from the pass sales will be used to purchase vitamins and calcium. Additionally, donations of TUMS (or the generic equivalent) will be accepted by Mrs. Peterson, as they are commonly distributed as calcium supplements.

Please contact Mrs. Peterson ( dpeterson@geds.net ) with any questions.  Let's keep blessing our brothers and sisters in Christ!
