Get "Hooked" on Books
Make sure you visit the Library page on www.jarvis.church . If you are interested in a particular book or movie, fill out the form on the Library page of the website. Meanwhile, check out this book that can be found in the library.

Confirmation . . . it's not too late
Are you in 6th grade or above? It's time to think about Confirmation! There will be a Confirmation information meeting on Wednesday, February 8 from 7 to 8 in the Youth Room (TCLC). Parents can bring their youth if they are available to come but their presence is NOT mandatory. Confirmation meetings will be on Wednesday nights from 6:30 pm to 8 pm and a light meal will be served at each session. Confirmation cost is $90 to cover both student and mentor participation including all materials and retreat fees. You can register at: www.tinyurl.com/JarvisConfirm17 . Susan Fair Likosar Scholarship
The Jarvis United Methodist Women, Susan Fair Likosar Scholarship, will be awarded in the spring of 2017. This scholarship will be made available to young women from Jarvis Memorial who are in their senior year of high school. Applications for this scholarship will be mailed individually to each young woman. You may also pick up an application in the church administrative office. In order for applications to be considered, completed applications must be delivered to Connie B. Moseley, Chairperson of the Jarvis UMW Susan Fair Likosar Scholarship committee, NO LATER THAN APRIL 10, 2017.

Welcome Committee Coffee
The Welcome Committee is hosting an Information Coffee for all new comers to Jarvis Memorial on Sunday, February 26th during the Sunday School hour in the Taft Christian Life Center flex space. Please drop in and enjoy fellowship while gathering information about all you can do or how to become involved in our community and at Jarvis Memorial. We hope to see you there! Lenten Bible Study
The Welcome Committee is pleased to announce that we will be offering a Bible Study for new comers to Jarvis during the Lent season. We will begin the study on Ash Wednesday at 7 pm at Jarvis . If you are interested in joining this class, please contact Beth Griffin at 756-1226 or email at: [email protected] before the end of February so we can order your booklet to go along with the study.

Safe Sanctuary Training
If you are interested in working with youth or children, you must be Safe Sanctuary certified. Safe Sanctuary training will be February 23 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm in Room 01 and the Chapel. For more information, contact Elizabeth Cope at [email protected] .

Pastor's Reading Circle
C.S Lewis once noted, "We read to know we are not alone." Entertainer, and author Garrison Keillor reminds us, "A book is a gift you can open again and again." In this spirit, Pastor Jon will be launching a monthly Reading Circle, open to whomever would like to participate. The first book we will read is, Crossing The Waters: Following Jesus Through The Storms, The Fish, The Doubt, And The Seas by
Leslie Leyland Fields.
Our first Reading Circle gathering is scheduled for Sunday, February 26 at 6:30pm in the
