Hudson Law Firm 10 Years of Growth!!
Hudson Law Firm began 10 years ago as a dream. Our office was in the Master Bedroom of our 3 bedroom, 2 bath.
Literally, the Firm was in our Master Bedroom. Also, we had a baby on the way. About two years later, we bought a bigger house to accommodate our growing Firm and family. We joined a nationwide group for Solo Law Firm owners and learned we had out grown our office at home! We took what we thought was a giant leap and rented a small office in the French Quarter on Josey Lane in Carrollton,Texas. It was quaint, it was just Joel and one other employee. Our name was in lights, we were big time! Then, one year later we employed our second employee and out grew that office. Now, we are located in a larger office across from the Post Office on Josey Lane. But, you won't believe it. We are now busting at the seams, so yes, we are moving. We will be moving near Sprouts sometime in the late summer, if everything works out as planned. So, look for an upcoming invitation to an open house party for a closer look at the new office and visiting with friends and clients.

I was at my wits end when my brother and I found Joel Hudson Law Firm and with in a day I had a doctor and solutions to my accident. Joel and his staff worked to insure I had all I needed to recover. I was in bed for six months and still have a limp so it was a very bad accident that happened because of a distracted driver. It was a horrible experience for me personally. Hudson Law Firm took my car accident case at no up front out-of-pocket to me, which otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to afford. I was up against a very tough adjuster who was unresponsive and seemed like she could just brush me off with none of my expenses paid for. At first it took a bit to get my case really going and when I had concerns Mr. Hudson personally called me. I was shocked! Although it took a bit of time to collect documents from the hospital and get the initial demand letters written, they were thoughtfully put together and it was worth the wait! I worked with paralegal, Sam Rejon and she has been invaluable guiding me through the process. My case has officially been settled and that adjuster got what was coming to her! Secrets the Insurance Company Won't Tell You
|

Did you know that you can make a claim on your own insurance policy for an accident that is your fault? Yes you can, and you can bet that your insurance company will not tell you this fact. You have to know this information and assert your own claim under PIP, Personal Injury Protection. For instance, if you were negligent and hit another vehicle, or if you just accidentally ran your car into a telephone pole, you can make a claim under PIP coverage for any medical bills and lost wages caused by that accident (up to your policy limit). Likewise, PIP coverage will also apply to any passenger in your car that is hurt or has lost wages, and, if you are a passenger in another's vehicle, their PIP coverage will apply to your injuries and lost wages. Of course, if the accident was the other driver's fault, your PIP coverage will apply to cover your injuries and lost wages. Depending on your types of coverage, you might also be able to claim property damage, also, whether the accident was your fault or not.
Auto insurance companies would rather not provide such coverage, but they are required to offer it by the State of Texas. As a matter of fact, the auto insurance company is also required to maintain a written rejection form from their insured clients that clearly states the insured client "Rejects" PIP coverage (and UM/UIM coverage, to be discussed in the next newsletter). We want all of our clients to know this information so they first can make sure they have PIP coverage because it is so important. Second, as an attorney, we have been successful many times in forcing a client's auto insurance company to provide PIP coverage because they could not produce the written PIP rejection form.

Hudson Law Firm has an Accident App! Our new accident App will remind you of all the important information to gather at the accident scene, such as:
- Photographs and video of all vehicles and the intersection;
- Other driver's insurance, license plate number, phone number and driver's license;
- Witness contact information;
- Reporting officer's name, badge number, and accident report number;
- Location of the accident; and
- Time of the accident.
All of the photos and other information can be stored in the App and, by press of a button, can easily be sent to Hudson Law Firm. Additionally, you can simply press a button to call our Firm directly or press other buttons to call the local police or to find a nearby hospital, tow truck, taxi service, body shop, etc. We are very excited about our new App and, while we hope you will not need to use it, we do hope you will download it now in case you need it down the road.
