Construction Update     |   February 13, 2017
Below are updates for Eagle Point Elementary School and Windsor Elementary School as we move through the phases of construction and grand openings!
Eagle Point Elementary School
February 3rd update from Findorff Project Manager, Aaron Zutz

The past couple weeks have been very busy at Eagle Point Elementary! Last week, 2nd graders got the chance to tour the school they will be attending next year! The cubbies all had glazing installed, and the cafeteria's acoustic wall panels are going in. The flooring is also being installed in the classrooms. More finishes are being completed in the weeks ahead; everything is starting to come together!

And, here's more information  about what's coming up in the weeks ahead.

"Did you know?"
Hard hats protect you in more ways than just from falling debris. They also are equipped with a one inch 'suspension area' that makes sure your head is not against the hat itself to help cushion your head. First was an early adopter of hard hats and first required employees to begin wearing them in 1954!
Windsor Elementary School
February 9th update from Findorff Project Manager, Sara Michalski

Phase 1 of Windsor Elementary School has been turned over to the
school! The gym floor has been installed and the lines are in
place. The spacious cafeteria is now complete and the storage
and receiving area is just about done. Final touches like
wayfinding, paint-touch ups, and furniture deliveries are bringing
the school together. Teachers are moving in and furniture is going
into classrooms! Textbooks, supplies, and desks are filling up the
new spaces! Coming up, the bleachers are going to be installed in
the gym and the reception desk will be delivered.

More updates , including photos and what's coming up in the weeks ahead.

"Did you know?"
The basketball arena with the largest capacity is the Philippine Arena in the city of Bulacan in the
Philippines. It has a capacity of 55,000 people! That's about 20,000 more than the next largest competitor in Syracuse. Our bleacher system at Windsor will now hold 177, that's 177 more visitors then the old gym could seat.

On Thursday, February 23, Windsor Elementary School and Findorff & Sons will host a "Sneak Peek" of the new addition for WES parents/guardians during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Information about bus and parent drop off procedures will be explained, and families will be invited to take a peek  at classrooms, the gym, and the new office. Information about the phase 2 renovations, which are scheduled for March through August, will also be shared.
