Registration Administrative Fees Go Up March 1st
2017 Virginia Senior Games Update
To Paraphrase the Beatles, " We get by with a little help from our friends."

The Virginia Senior Games cannot happen without Friends.  The costs of presenting VSG include, but are not limited to:


 

  • accounting, marketing, and registration software systems
  • athlete T-shirt design and purchase
  • awards and medals purchase
  • banking and credit card fees
  • entertainment contracting
  • equipment/tent rental and purchase
  • food and beverages
  • insurance
  • permits
  • printing
  • postage
  • National Senior Games membership dues
  • signage
  • software system support
  • staff and volunteer shirts
  • staffing/overhead
  • venue rental
  • website domain and maintenance


 

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

 

  1. When you see the option of contributing as a Friend of the Virginia Senior Games when registering, this is an opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation that will help us present the Games.
  2. Spread the word to Sponsor the Virginia Senior Games.

SAVE THE DATES:  May 10-13, 2017

MAKE TIME TO PARTY:  all athletes will be specially recognized - 5-7pm, Friday, May 12, Deep Run Recreation Center - it's free and especially for you.

PARTY EARLY:  enjoy the Health and Wellness Expo, 3-7pm - also on  Friday, May 12, Deep Run Recreation Center - lots of freebies.

SHOW-OFF:  Wear your medals and bring your friends and family - spectators are FREE.

REMEMBER:  Team captains should submit one team registration for each team.  In addition, all players and non-playing coaches must submit an individual registration each to be included on team roster.

WHAT'S NEW?:
  • No more partnering:  visit the Athletes' Bulletin Board to post and find partners.
  • 2017 VSG is unable to offer Track and Field Hammer Throw.
  • Miniature Golf and Shuffleboard are back!
  • Register by Tuesday, February 28, 2017 to save $10; administrative fees go up beginning 3/1/2017.
  • Registration deadline is Saturday, April 15, 2017.

 

 

 

 

The Wellness Expo is open to all, including the general public.
