Social Events & Minglers

Where we're going:

THIS FRIDAY, February 17 th , - Mingler at Arthur Murray Dance Studio (EWGAQC sponsor), 221 Brady Street, Ste. 2 Davenport, IA 52801. Ladies dance night goes 6pm - 8pm and there will be hors d' oeuvres and soda but bring your own spirits to drink. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for guests. Danyelle Pinkerton, one of our own EWGA members, is going to teach us three different line dances. Hurry and sign up for a fun night of food, drinks, and dancing! No dance experience needed! REGISTRATION CLOSES TUESDAY 2/14 @ 11:59PM

Where We've Been:

The January Mingler at Clubhouse:

Twenty people attended the mingler. We had some pizza and hit some balls on the golf simulators. Cathy Hughes won the closest to the pin contest. It was a great night!

Golf Leagues & Education

The weather outside may still be chilly, but our 2017 golf season is underway! We began on January 19 th with our indoor league at The Clubhouse.

Plans for our summer leagues and clinics are in "full swing"! This year we will be adding a new league on Tuesday evenings at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, IL. Saukie is a classic "executive length" golf course that is convenient for those living or working in Illinois. It is a great choice for newer golfers, as well as golfers of all skill levels.

Chapter Website-

For those of you that have been checking our chapter website for upcoming events, my apologies. Due to technical issues, we have not had access to update the site. This has now been remedied and the website will be updated within the next few days.

Facebook-

EWGAQC has both a public Facebook page as well as a private Facebook group. If you're on Facebook, we recommend getting on to both of these. The public page will include posts from board members about upcoming activities, photos from recent events, links to recent newsletters, etc. To locate the public page, search for "EWGA Quad Cities Chapter" on Facebook and "like" the page.

The private group is meant as a way to easily communicate with other chapter members. Ask questions about an upcoming event, get a sub for your league, ask for course recommendations, etc. Please use this group for golf and social related conversations. To find this group search "EWGA QC Members" on Facebook and click on "join". Please allow 24 hours for an admin to verify membership and approve your request.
