Importance of Tuning Your Gear
Tuned skis and boards simply work better. Whether your a novice or seasoned veteran, your gear will be easier to turn, grip, and glide as designed if you tune it and wax it regularly. A tune will grind off the old dead base material, and get that base flat again. That makes it much easier to get them feeling stable. The edges will be beveled and sharpended. This makes it much easier to turn and transition from edge to edge, and grip on hard snow. A tune will finish up with a smooth structured finish and wax to help the skis glide and turn with less resistance. Equally important for all levels of skiers. A novice or intermediate skier or rider will likely find they are riding much better and under better control if their equipment is tuned.

How Often?
Your skis or boards need to be serviced on a regular basis. Tune them once a season, or about every 12-15 on snow days if you are going often. Hot waxing should be done about every 4-5 days on snow. More often if you ski or ride aggressively, and for a longer period of time per day.
