College names new president

Last month, the Board of Trustees selected Dr. L. Joy Gates Black, current vice chancellor for Academic Affairs at Tarrant County College District in Texas, to succeed Dr. Jerry Parker when he retires this summer.

Dr. Gates Black will be our fourth president as well as the first woman to lead the college.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Gates Black while we honor Dr. Parker for his significant service over the last forty years.

Each February, we like to share with you the story of two students who met at the College and eventually got married. This year we are pleased to share the story of Anthony and Barbara Selletti who have been together for 40 years. If you met your significant other on campus, we'd like to hear the story as part of a future project for our 50th Anniversary celebration.  Please contact the alumni office for more details.
