Gala Auction
Thank you to all who have supported our Gala Auction - it was an immense success! A very special "thank you" goes to our pastor, Father Neil, who devoted a lot of time and energy to support our Gala Auction, by his presence, participation, and some very generous donations! A super big "thank you" goes to our incredibly talented and generous Gala Auction Co-Chairs, Stacey Morgan and Stacy Stewart; committee chairs Jeff Glassmeyer, Nicole Benedict, Beth Mulqueen, Jenny Nevle, Viviana Prince, Deanna Lancaster, Mary Jo Beckman, Heather Ponte. The funds from this year's Gala Auction will benefit our students directly by supporting various S.T.E.M. initiatives at our school: additional Chromebooks to expand our one-to-one Chromebook program to include the entire middle school, class sets of iPads for our primary grade students, and in-school S.T.E.M. workshops (hosted by Engineering for KidsĀ®) for students. We will publish the total funds raised shortly.

The 2017-2018 School Calendar is almost ready to be published - thank you for your patience. We invite parents to share their input on one of the item: we would like to schedule one to two early dismissals each month, beginning in September, to provide time for professional development for our teachers. Unlike the noon dismissals, this type of early dismissals will be at 2:30 p.m. Many archdiocesan schools utilize this type of early dismissals even on a weekly basis. Please take a moment to share your input with us - please access the survey via this link:

Notes from the Nurse
T
here has been confirmed diagnoses of strep throat and the flu at our school. Please be aware of any symptoms that your child may be having. Any child with a fever over 99.6 and/or vomiting must stay home from school until they have been symptom free for 24 hours. If your child sees a doctor and the doctor provides a note indicating a date for return to school, please abide by the date and do not send your child back to school early, even if your child is feeling better, as he/she may still be contagious.
Symptoms of strep throat include: sudden onset sore throat, fever, headache and stomachache. Symptoms of the flu include: severe aches in your joints and muscles, pain and tiredness around your eyes, weakness or fatigue, headache, dry cough, sore throat and runny nose.
Students who are diagnosed with any contagious illness should remain home until their temperature is normal, their cough is under control, and their energy level is back to normal. It is also important that their appetite is better and they are drinking fluids, as these are very important for a quick and safe recovery. Proper intake of food and fluids will also boost the immune system.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the clinic by calling the school or via email:

Thank you for your cooperation,
