Maryland Heritage Areas Administrator
The Maryland Department of Planning (Planning) provides guidance, analysis, outreach and support to ensure that the state's natural resources, built environment and public assets are preserved and protected to achieve its goals for economic, community and environmental vitality. 

The Maryland Historical Trust (MHT), a division of Planning, is the state government unit charged with preserving and interpreting the legacy of Maryland's past. Through research, conservation and education, MHT assists the people of Maryland in understanding their historical and cultural heritage. 

This position directs, manages, and supervises the activities of the Maryland Heritage Areas Program, a principal program of the Maryland Historical Trust's Office of Planning, Education and Outreach.
