Filter Press Parts and Retrofits Focus:
Choosing the Right Hydraulic System and Controls for Your Filter Press

The type of hydraulic system best suited for a dewatering application typically depends on the size of the filter press required. Three common types of filter press hydraulic systems include air-operated, electric and manual. 

Filter press controls are a factor of both the type of hydraulic system that will be utilized, as well as other specifics such as the options for automated valves, drip trays, an automatic plate shifter, and/or an automatic high pressure cloth washing unit. 

Various manifold processes can also be more easily facilitated by the use of proper controls, such as Air Blow, Even Fill, Pre-Coat, Acid Wash, Core Blow, Cake Wash, and more.

Unit (HPU)

Another way that we work to get you back up and running quickly is through innovations in equipment. If you are in need of a quick solution or if your filter press components have become difficult to source or obsolete, then M.W. Watermark has a great solution for you.
 
M.W. Watermark Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU)

M.W. Watermark has designed a stand-alone Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) which serves as a universal retrofit for older-style filter presses. The HPU is available with either a 7 or an 11-gallon reservoir. These two size options should cover most types of filter presses, from 630mm to 1200mm in filter plate size. 

Simply attach a supply air line and two hydraulic cylinder lines to the HPU to get your filter press back up and running. 
 


Both sizes of our Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) are stock items and are available for immediate shipment.

Filter Cloths for Large Filter Presses:
Mining and Energy Industry Spotlight

In case you haven't heard, M.W. Watermark manufactures filter cloths for all makes and models of filter presses, including the large format presses used in the mining and energy industries.

Filter cloths can be sewn to the exact specifications of your filter press, guaranteeing a perfect fit. 

All cloths are made right here in the U.S.A. in our facility in Holland, Michigan, utilizing two laser cutting tables. Using lasers to cut cloth enables us to provide consistent, high-quality cloths with lower-pricing, while at the same time providing a faster turnaround on custom requests.

In addition to our capabilities for customization and short lead times, M.W. Watermark also has industry experts on staff that will work directly with you - to help determine exactly what type and size of filter cloths you need for your particular filter press application.
