From the Office - No Student Self Dismissal
Students should not be using their cell phones during the day. Many students are calling parents when they don't feel well and are asking to be picked up. In order to account for all
students, all calls home for illness must go through the nurse. If they are feeling ill, students should ask their classroom teacher to go to the health office where they can be seen and assessed by the nurse. The nurse will call you if your child needs to be dismissed. Thank you.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Save the Date! The PTO is excited to announce that we will be sponsoring a screening and discussion of Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age on Thursday, March 30, at 7:00 pm. “SCREENAGERS probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including the director’s own, and depicts messy struggles, over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through surprising insights from authors and brain scientists solutions emerge on how we can empower kids to best navigate the digital world.”
Screenagers has been featured in the press on Good Morning America, the Today Show, and NPR, as well as in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Forbes and more. View the trailer, and mark your calendars for this event – you won’t want to miss it! This event will be open to the entire Wayland community, however registration will open to the Wayland Middle School community first. Keep an eye here and on Facebook for the registration announcement in the coming weeks.
