Newsletter 2017 - Quarter One
The three homeowner families that partnered with us in 2016.
A message from our executive director:
What an amazing start to 2017.  But before we talk about 2017, let's celebrate our successes of 2016.  Last year the goal of Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North was to build capacity and to ensure future growth through delivering on our core mission of building and selling homes to our homeowner families.

Well, I am proud to say that we delivered on our promises.

Our team worked tirelessly throughout 2016 to enhance processes, develop strategies and ensure the growth of our organization through excellence in planning and increasing our focus on the core mission. We served three families last year in Campbell River and Courtenay, and 2017 looks like it will be a year of considerable growth.

J oin us on Feb.15th as we break ground on our latest Campbell River project at 477 Hilchey Road.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteer bus drivers with Class 4 Licenses and clean Driver's Abstracts are needed on an 'on call' basis for build projects and other special events throughout the year.

We are seeking  volunteers to help with an upcoming spring event in Courtenay.  Specifically, we will be needing three people with FoodSafe , as well as lots of help leading up to the event.

Schedule yourself in to volunteer at our prefabrication shop this month, or on the build site starting next month. Questions about volunteering on a build? Attend our info session this Thursday or contact lorraine@habitatnorthisland.com.
