Freedom to Read Week is February 26 to March 4. The Saskatchewan Library Association encourages you to celebrate Freedom to Read Week by putting up a poster in your Library or community or hosting a display or event in support of intellectual freedom.
Nominations for SLA Board of Directors due by February 28.
March 1 - Nominations for the SLA Frances Morrison Award and Honourary Life Membership due (please contact Judy Nicholson if you are preparing a nomination)
March 1 - One Book One Province Day - Proclamation by Honourable Don Morgan, Minister of Education and recognition of the One Book One Province Saskatchewan for the month of March.See the website for lots of information http://saskla.ca/program/one-book-one-province
March 1 - One Book One Province Event - 7:00 p.m. at the First Nations University of Canada (free parking, Lot 12). David Carpenter will be reading, Inforediculous will perform, and a presentation by Blair Stonechild. Everyone is welcome!
