Worship with Us this Weekend!
Join us this Sunday for our 9:30am Traditional Worship Service and/or Informal Worship Service at 11:00am.
Our scripture passages are Leviticus 19:1-2, 9-18 and Matthew 5:38-48 with a sermon entitled Love is the Center of the Universe.

We tend to place ourselves in the center of the universe - believing that "it's all about me." We need a paradigm shift to catch up with what God has been asking us to do forever. The Hebrew Bible and the New Testament are consistent in the ways they call forth our kindness and compassion toward others.

Inclement Weather Policy
If we need to cancel church on a Sunday morning due to wintry weather, we will communicate with you in a variety of ways:
  • Church wide email.
  • Facebook/Twitter post.
  • KSDK.com listing.
  • Voicemail at church.
Judgment whether to come to church rests with the individual. If you feel it is unsafe to drive, please don't risk it. Stay safe. Stay home.

Adult Education

This Sunday, Feb 19: All About Al-Anon- PUCCers Mary & Tom Maxeiner have known the pain, possibility and peace of being in groups of mutuality and support as family members have struggled with addiction. They will share the mission and the importance of Al-Anon and invite you to share a bit of your story. Al-Anon helps people to know that they are not alone in the problems they face, and that they have choices that lead to greater peace of mind, whether the drinker continues to drink or not. Spiritual Journey - Life Lessons
Here is my top twenty-in no particular order.

1. Enjoy every phase of life. Each has its good and bad aspects.
2. Don't miss today by regretting yesterday or by wishing it were tomorrow.
3. Don't expect your husband to be your girlfriend. You need both and both fulfill different needs and purposes. Choose your best friends wisely.
4. Speak up. Don't sulk or expect people to read your mind.
5. Excel at keeping a confidence. Never gossip.
6. Be quick to admit your mistakes and ask forgiveness.
7. Have a passion and then do it. Or learn to do one thing very well.
8. Have a ministry. Be involved in the world or with others in some way.
9. Focus on your husband's strengths.
10. Keep a tidy (not necessarily clean) house. Order creates a sense of control.
11. The best cure for the blues is to get busy or help someone else.
12. Be an encourager.
13. Develop the skill of listening and of asking pertinent questions.
14. The best thing you can do for yourself, your marriage, your family is to spend time with God daily.
15. Train your mind to dwell on what is true, good, honest, lovely and of good report.
16. Laugh a lot. Humor is the antidote for many miseries.
17. Practice contentment and don't compare yourself with others.
18. Know your God-given gifts and use them for God's glory.
19. Tradition can wear a long face. Be open to new ways and ideas, filtered of course, through the grid of Scripture.
20. Nothing is for certain but change. Accept it and adapt gracefully.

Joke
What did one ocean say to the other ocean? Nothing, they just waved.

Inspiration
God spoke these words in her soul: "From now on, don't look at anything but love. Fix your eyes on love. No matter what happens to you or others - within or without - lean on love alone. And live." -Catherine of Genoa
