Dedham Community Theater at 580 High Street

                  The Comedian

                       Rated R

Jackie Burke, an aging comic icon, has seen better days. Despite his efforts to reinvent himself and his comic genius, the audience only wants to know him as the former television character he once played. Already a strain on his younger brother and his wife, Jackie is forced to serve out a sentence doing community service for accosting an audience member. While there, he meets Harmony, the daughter of a sleazy Florida real estate mogul, and the two find inspiration in each other.

Knitting Outreach

In the past, members of St. Paul's Church knitted "prayer shawls" that were given to parishioners and others community members in need.  The Outreach Committee is interested in whether there would be interest amongst knitters--and prospective knitters--in the parish to restart this ministry.  This could involve knitting shawls or simple blankets at home or as part of knitting fellowship events at the church. It could also be a chance for those who have never knitted to learn a new and enjoyable skill from more experienced knitters in theparish.  Please let Don Elmore ( delmore@wellesley.edu ) know if you would be potentially interested in participating, regardless of your current knitting skill!

Untangle a Murder Mystery
& learn about one of the deadliest killers of our time

Join us for a round-table discussion with author and physician Steve Kassels, M.D. on

Wednesday, March 8th, 7:00 p.m.

Steve Kassels, M.D., will answer questions relating to both the plot of his thriller, Addiction on Trial, as well as the issue of drug addiction and treatment. Medical and behavioral aspects of addiction are woven into the intrigue of his book, which culminates in a riveting murder trial. Our own Andrea O'Connell, who narrated the audio edition available on audible.com, will read selections from the book.

All of Dr. Kassells' proceeds from books sold at the Blue Bunny Bookstore to the Dedham Joint Coalition for Alcohol and Drug Awareness.
