President's Letter

  Dear Farmington Square Residents:

 

2017 is off to a good start, except for a little less bitter cold.

I, and the rest of the Board Members, look forward to helping promote the unique character of Farmington Square.  Our intent is to work with the homeowners to help make 2017 another year of forward thinking, open communication and a continued effort to maintain and improve our subdivision.

 

Our annual meeting in December outlined what we accomplished in 2016 and our goals for 2017.  Many of the attending residents participated in the discussions that came about throughout the evening.  We are happy to see the homeowners engaging and investing again for the good of our neighborhood.

 

The year will be active with revisions to the Bylaws, Covenants and Restriction in our continued efforts to add value to our subdivision.  The entrances will be another concentration for the Board in regards to aesthetics of first impression someone will see as they enter the subdivision.  We welcome comments and feedback directly from the homeowners to help us remain responsive to their desires and needs.

 

Please stay connected to the website for further newsletters, events and general information so that you can find out what is happening in our neighborhood.  Also, we welcome your attendance at the monthly Board meetings to stay better tuned to the matters we handle on a regular basis.  I just ask that you notify me so that I can give the attendance count to the Board member who is hosting that night's meeting.

 Board Meetings

Farmington Square board meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m., all residents are welcomed to attend.  The meeting location rotates monthly, please contact a member of the board to find out the upcoming location.


 Notices

SPEED- Please watch your speed while driving through the subdivision.  We want to ensure that all our residents feel comfortable when walking through our community.  This is especially important now that the roads are ice and snow covered.  Children are going to and from school and community members are walking at night, please slow down!

HEAVY SNOWFALL- Please clear your mailboxes; and if applicable to you fire hydrants and street drains after a heavy snowfall.

ENTRANCES- Please do not block entrances.  Parking is not allowed 16 feet from a stop sign.  Please be respectful of other cars in the early morning hours when children are going to the bus stop and community members are on their way to work.

COMMERICAL VEHICLES- May not be parked on private property or on the streets overnight.


 Upcoming Events

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on April 15 at 1 p.m. in the main commons area.

The garage sale is being planned for late September/early October.  The garage sales will now be alternated between spring and fall, based on input from last years participants.  Once the date has been finalized we will update you and add it to the events list on the website.

 New Residents

We would like to welcome our new neighbors into our community!

Angela and Jasim Qieilbash moved from West Bloomfield to 37896 River Bend.  Jasim is an engineer and Angela is a physical therapist.

Larra Achmar purchased the house at 22734 Shadowglen Dr.  She moved from Maryland where she worked as a pharmacist.  Larra is planning a June wedding to Ali Beydoun.  Ali is and engineer from Dearborn.

Please give our new neighbors a warm welcome when you see them!
