RED 2017 - THANK YOU!
|
Co-chaired by Christine and Rick Pennell, MD And Mary and Steve Schoolman
|
|
RED 2017 was held Saturday, February 4 at the elegant Ritz Carlton Hotel in Clayton. The theme was a tribute to BOND...James Bond!
The evening was a great success with 580 guests raising about $400,000 in direct support of the mission and programs of DOORWAYS. The Pennells and Schoolmans were aided by Patron co-chairs Diane Levine and Jay Joern, the RED Raffle Committee was co-chaired by Kathy and Steve Eiser, and Rudi Bertrand and Paul Williams. A huge thank you to all our corporate sponsors and individual donors who collectively helped RED 2017 to be an all-time record breaking event for DOORWAYS.
Last fall Board Member, Patti Kelley, won the Golden Table Raffle and hosted members of her senior leadership staff from SSM/St. Louis University Hospital. The Golden Auction Ticket was won by long-time donor and RED attendee, Paul Williams, who selected the coveted Pennell Wine Dinner catered by Chef Tim Brennan from CRAVINGS.
The evening began with cocktails around the lavishly decorated tables groaning under the weight of the RED Raffle Baskets valued at a total of $15,000 in donated merchandise and gift certificates, guests were greeted by silhouetted Bond and Bond-girl figures. BIG MUDDY DANCE COMPANY opened the program with a performa
nce of JET STREAM. Master of Ceremonies, Jasmine Huda FOX-2 News Anchor, facilitated the evening program. Guests enjoyed a 3-course meal, open bar, and dancing to the beats of St. Louis favorite, DJ Reggie.

Thank You Bar: PM
Special thanks to James Pence and Chad Wick, owners of Bar:PM who planned and hosted a fundraiser to benefit DOORWAYS as a part of the bar's second anniversary. The event also included a gift drive which provided our residents with many of the everyday items they so badly needed. Thank you James and Chad! Interested in hosting an event to benefit DOORWAYS?
