News from our Guidance Counselor
February 17, 2017
Dear Saint Anne Parent,
On
Tuesday, March 14th
, at
6:30 PM
, Carol Gudbrandsen, Cyber Crimes Analyst, with the State's Attorney's Office, will present a free workshop to the Saint Anne parent community called "Internet Security: What You Need to Know to Keep Your Child Safe." Carol will share true-life Lake County examples of how people use technology to commit crimes, with an emphasis on crimes against children. Some of the specific topics covered are internet safety, cyber-bullying, and sexting.
Carol will return to Saint Anne School on March 15
th
to speak with our students about the same topics. This effort is intended to educate students on how to stay safe while using technology and how one's electronic footprint can have an impact on the rest of his or her life.
Please join us on March 14th to equip and prepare our children to be digitally responsible citizens.
This adult event is open to the public so you may invite others.....it is appropriate for parents with children of all ages.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Sasa Mo

Sharing Board News
Food Drive Coordinator Wanted
The Sharing Board is looking for someone to coordinate our Spring Food Drive to benefit the St. Columbanus Food Pantry. This is a well-established activity that involves working with volunteers over one weekend, May 20-21, to collect food from parishioners and pack the truck. Sharing Board members will be able to support and guide in this process. It is a great way to help people in need! Please contact Peggy Hirsch at
peggyhirsch@aol.com or 847-382-0414 for more information.
