A hands on jewelry design workshop
with Selma and Stacy Andrews
Learn something new! Design and create your own lightweight, unique and eye-catching polymer clay beads using a millifiori technique ("thousand flowers"), a Venetian glass-working technique combining thin rods of different colors which are folded, sliced and layered in a collage to form an intricate pattern art work. This is a beginner class to introduce working techniques with clay including conditioning, mixing, folding and basic construction of "canes".
Polymer clay and basic tools will be provided. Beads will need to be baked (will be done after the workshop) and finished then can be strung or mounted as jewelry or art!
