Ten benefits of a hosted PBX system

According to Ofcom, mobile phone take-up per household overtook fixed telephone lines as long ago as 2006, and now VoIP telephony (internet-based) is similarly supplanting traditional ISDN fixed lines in the business world.

Beneficial for businesses large and small, a private branch exchange (PBX) system, delivered as a hosted, cloud-based service, builds on this IP-based technology to give you a sophisticated phone system without the need for investment in premise-based equipment to control your calls and numbers.

In this blog post, Syntec's Operations Director, James Campbell, outlines ten benefits of a hosted PBX telephone system.

Syntec's private branch exchange (PBX) system is delivered as hosted service, freeing you from the need to invest in a costly onsite business phone system, while enabling you to benefit from features such as voicemail, fax to email, conference calling and more.

Syntec handles the call routing (switching) at our own hosted locations and is responsible for managing all of the PBX equipment and software involved in the virtual PBX service.

Syntec is deploying its CardEasy mid-call DTMF solution for telephone based card payments in Micron's contact centres in the USA and the UK, as well as its outsourced contact centres in the USA and Cairo, in order to ensure secure voice payments and card data security, whilst minimising the need for PCI DSS audits by de-scoping their contact centres from PCI DSS controls.
