Early Dismissal & Closing
We will be dismissing students at 11:30 AM tomorrow, Friday, February 17, so teachers may attend an important In-service. School districts will run their pick-up earlier to accommodate our students.  There will be no supervision available in the building after 11:30 AM.  Any students remaining after dismissal will need to call a parent or guardian for pick-up

School is closed Monday, February 20, in observance of Presidents Day.

Students in grades 9 through 11 currently have access to the online course selection portal in MMS.  This will remain open until February 24.  During this time, students should select their courses for next school year.  After completing the process online, they are instructed to print out the course selection sheet and have each of their teachers sign next to their desired subject courses.  A parent signature is required as well.  These forms will be due on February 24, 2017.

Parents, please take the time to click here   to review our course catalog for next school year.  We are excited to be offering three new courses to include Personal Finance, Political Science and Latin I.  Latin I will be offered with a Dual Enrollment Option through Alvernia University and will be taught by Father Dan Richards, Pastor of St. Rose of Lima Parish.

Hosts Needed for Retreat Team Members
The 7th grade class will be enjoying a Retreat Day on Thursday, March 23, at Holy Infant Parish in Manchester, PA.  Our day will be led by the National Evangelism Team (NET) who travels throughout the country.  We will need 6 host families to house and feed same-gender pairs of the NET for two nights on Wednesday, March 22 and Thursday, March 23. Inclement Weather
During inclement weather that would cause a school closing or delay of schedule, York Catholic will call/text/email you through our One Call Now Emergency Notification system.  Other modes of notification include WSBA 910-AM, WGAL TV-8, and the YC website.  Students from individual school districts are automatically excused if their district closes and does not provide transportation to YCHS.  The exceptions to this are Southern and Southeastern.  These students follow York Catholic's delay and closing schedule.
