TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME!
Mark your calendars to attend the 15th annual SCCS Auction, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," on Saturday, April 1. Live auction items include a week stay in the Dominican Republic, Cleveland Indians packages, Battery Park boat docks, group dinners at local restaurants, and many more! Dinner will be ballpark cuisine prepared by Thirsty Pony. Babysitting will also be available! Additional information, including ticket order forms, will be coming home with students. TLC NEEDS YOUR POP TABS
The TLC class is collecting pop can tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. The collection will run now through April 9. You can drop pop tabs off in the container outside of the PPC.
 
TLC GOODWILL CLOTHING DRIVE
The TLC class is sponsoring their annual Goodwill Clothing Drive March 6-16. They will be collecting gently used clothing and shoes.
 
BOOK FAIR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
It's time for the Scholastic Book Fair! The sale begins Sunday, February 26 at the SCCS Open House and runs daily through Friday, March 3. Volunteers are needed next week to help set up, work a shift during the book fair, and pack up after the sale. If you can help, please stop by the volunteer table during conferences today, or contact Lindsay Lauwers at 717-371-9298.
 
YMCA BABYSITTER'S TRAINING
Monday, February 20 the Sandusky Area YMCA will be hosting a Babysitter's Training Class from 9:00am-4:00pm. The cost is $50 and is open to ages 9-15. Participants will learn problem -solving skills, how to be a good leader, how to care for infants and children, and compression-only CPR. Please bring 2 snacks, a sack lunch, baby doll, diaper, and a small blanket. Deadline to enroll is today; please call Denise Robinson at 419-621-9622 to register.

SENIOR MOM CHEERLEADING SQUAD
SMCC Boys Basketball Senior Night is Friday, February 24 against Old Fort. In addition to honoring our senior basketball players, the Senior Mom Cheerleading Squad will perform at halftime of the Varsity game. This performance will help raise funds for the Senior class trip. Come out and enjoy the show, you won't want to miss it!
 
 
BOY SCOUT CHICKEN DINNER FEBRUARY 24
Join us before the SMCC vs. Old Fort basketball game and support the Boy Scouts, St. Mary's Troop 7 Chicken Dinner Fundraiser, Friday, February 24 from 4:30pm-7:30pm in the cafeteria. Meals are provided by Bar-B-Que Traveler and include: chicken, bread, baked potato, barbecue beans, and beverage. Tickets are $10 and sold by presale ONLY. At 7:00pm, any unclaimed meals will be sold. Please contact any Boy Scout or Mrs. Kathy Morrow at 419-202-9562 for tickets.

PRESCHOOL - GRADE 8 YEARBOOK ORDER FORMS   
Order forms for the preschool through grade 8 Yearbooks are available at the Main Entrance or in the Main Office for grades 6-8. Preschool-grade 5 order forms were sent home with students. Yearbooks are $25 and the deadline to order is March 3, 2017.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST AND BAKE SALE
The SMCC Freshman Class is hosting a Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale on Sunday, February 26, from 9:00am-1:00pm. Tickets for the breakfast are $5 and children 5 years old and younger are FREE. Meal includes pancakes, sausage and coffee, milk, orange juice or water.

PRESCHOOL & ELEMENTARY NEWS
 
GRADES 4, 5, AND 6 GIRLS' BASKETBALL PLAY DURING SMCC HALFTIMES
Thursday, February 16, the grades 4, 5, and 6 girls' basketball teams will play during the halftimes of the SMCC Lady Panthers games against Old Fort. Grades 4 and 5 will play at halftime of the JV game, beginning at 6:00pm. Grade 6 will play at halftime of Varsity, which begins around 7:30pm.

MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL NEWS

FISH FRY TICKET SALES
All students in grades 6-12 received 10 Fish Fry tickets to sell. Students are asked to sell at least 3 tickets. Sellers will earn prizes for tickets sold!

3 tickets - Donuts and juice before school
5 tickets - Popcorn and Disney's "Inside Out" during 6th and 7th period (plus 3 ticket prize)
10 tickets - Lunch at HDT and root beer float at Soda Pop's (plus 3 and 5 ticket prize)
Please return money and any unsold tickets to the main office by Monday, February 27 in the envelope provided.

SENIOR STUDENT/PARENT MEETING
There will be a mandatory senior student and parent meeting on Monday, February 27 at 6:00pm in the Den balcony. The meeting is to discuss Senior Project and the trip to St. Augustine. Please enter through the ticket lobby entrance; attendance will be taken, so please be on time!

COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS INFORMATION NIGHT
If you missed the College Credit Plus meeting held at SMCC in January, you may attend an Information Night hosted by BGSU Firelands on March 15 at 6:00pm in the CPC Auditorium. This is a community information night for any students or parents who are interested in learning more about the College Credit Plus program.

CULTURE PROJECT
"The Culture Project is an initiative of young people set out to restore culture through the experience of virtue.  We proclaim the dignity of the human person and the richness of living sexual integrity, inviting our culture to become fully alive." The missionaries will be speaking on Wednesday, February 22 to grades 6-12 regarding the topic of Human Dignity, and then on Thursday, March 9 and Monday, March 27 the missionaries will be back to speak with grades 7-12 on sexual integrity.  To learn more about the missionaries, please click here to read the parent letter or visit  restoreculture.com

JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS
Cheerleading tryouts for the 2017-2018 football and basketball seasons will be held on Saturday, February 25, at 10:00am in the Multi-Purpose Room.  There will be 3 mandatory clinics to learn the tryout material.  The clinics will be held on Tuesday February 21, Wednesday February 22, and Thursday February 23 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm in the Multi- Purpose Room.  If you have any questions, please contact the cheerleading coaches; Libby Evans at
