THE RURAL ALBERTA INNOVATION AND LEARNING COMMONS RETURNS!

In 2015, the ACSRC in partnership with ATCO hosted the Rural Alberta Innovation and Learning Commons.  This October, RAIL returns with the strong support of ATCO. Be sure to save the date, October 6th through 8th as the RAIL Commons is hosted at Olds College.  Planning has begun so check the RAIL website for details.  Sponsorship opportunities are available!

Workshop: Solar Friendly Municipalities

The Pembina Institute, Solar Energy Society of Alberta (SESA), and Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC) are currently developing a Solar Toolkit for municipalities to help them become solar leaders and create an enabling environment for solar investment in their                                                                     communities..

DAVID SUZUKI FELLOWSHIPS

David Suzuki Fellows will spend a year with one foot in academia and the other in learning strategies to get their research the attention it deserves. They'll  make complex issues easy to understand and help motivate people to take                                                           action. In addition, DSF senior staff AND David Suzuki will                                                           mentor them all!

The Rural Development Institute has released a Working Paper Series on Rural Regions.  These five working papers have been written to add to the conversation about rural regions from an economic perspective.

EFC research funding-Call for letters of intent now open

Egg Farmers of Canada is proud to support Canadian research in egg production, poultry science, animal and human nutrition, and economic and environmental sustainability at universities across the country. Our winter/spring call for research proposals is now open, and         researchers are invited to complete and submit the       
    funding application form.    Applications deadline March 31,       2017.

Canadian Institute of Health Research: Planning and Dissemination Grants

The Planning and Dissemination Grants are intended to provide support for planning and/or dissemination activities consistent with the mandate of CIHR and relevant to CIHR Institutes, or Initiatives.
