Family Justice Center hosts community party in 'Heart of Richmond'
It's been one year since the Grand Opening of the Family Justice Center in Richmond,  a welcoming one-stop center serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse and human trafficking.

Now we can come together for a summer party celebrating the first anniversary of this innovative institution.

The party is set for Saturday, June 25 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 256 24th Street (just off Macdonald Ave.). There will be free food and refreshments.

The Family Justice Center, part of a new countywide network ,  is a powerful example of multiple public agencies and community organizations working together for a streamlined, convenient, and compassionate approach to help those who have been victims of violence and abuse.

Services for individuals and families include assistance with legal issues, safety, housing, and mental health counseling.

I'm proud of Contra Costa County's proactive approach to helping victims of abuse and violence. The family justice centers are one outcome of the Board of Supervisor's  Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence , an initiative adopted 15 years ago.

For more information, call the center at 510.974.7200.
See you there!
