This Sunday at Christ Church
|
Faith & Practice
Adults and youth are encouraged to join Local Outreach Committee members at Faith & Practice this Sunday after the 9:30 service. We will hear from parishioners who volunteered when we hosted our first group of families in October. You'll learn why Family Promise is so successfully keeping families together and preventing chronic homelessness. And you'll understand why we have committed to being a Family Promise Partner.
Put Your Faith Into Action - Volunteer to Help with Family Promise
Christ Church will host another group of Family Promise families the week of March 12-19 -- and we are seeking lots of volunteers from parishioners of all ages.
Volunteer NOW! Visit the Christ Church website, where you'll find the Sign-Up Genius under "
Serve/Local Outreach". If you can't volunteer, but would like to contribute to this all-parish effort, you can also make a cash donation to help cover expenses like breakfast, snacks and supplies.

Church School classes for age 3 through 2nd grade from 9:30 until The Peace, as usual. After the service, no Church School classes due to President's Day Weekend. Recognize students (7th-12th grade) are encouraged to attend Faith & Practice.

For Our Little Ones - A Soft Space
What is a "Soft Space?"
It is a special area at the front of the church designed for children who wish to experience more fully our worship service. Sometimes it's hard to sit through the service in a pew, with a sea of heads blocking your view! Our soft space is near the baptismal font, with an area rug, quiet toys, books and coloring pages. Families will decide if the space is the right place for their children. Don't worry, this does not replace Church School classes for our younger children. They will still attend class and when they come up, going to the soft space can be an option.

The Church Office will be closed on Monday for the Presidents' Day Holiday.
See you on Tuesday!
