Cheddar's Casual Cafe is hosting our February Business After Hours today,  Thursday, February 16 from  4:30-6:30 p.m.

Easy to find, located at the entrance to Walmart, and with plenty of parking, General Manager Jimmy Berketis and his staff are looking forward to Chamber members stopping in to see their operations.

The event will take place in the dining room.  All guests will enter through the front door and will be directed to the correct area.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT  COMMUNITY-WIDE - NEXT TUESDAY, February 21, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Boyle County Fire Headquarters on Lebanon Road, t he Chamber's workforce development committee will host a community-wide meeting of all community organizations and individuals who assist local people with issues/needs which impact their employability.  The purpose of this initial meeting is to take the first step toward developing a concerted, coordinated community-wide effort to identify and seek solutions to the obstacles that impede individuals from obtaining and retaining employment.  This begins a series of meetings to create and implement action steps by early fall.  Please consider attending this meeting, and share with others who should join us for future discussions and planning.  

 
This Friday, Feb. 17 , from 11 to 3, at the Boyle County Health Department parking lot, the State Health Department mobile unit will be present to distribute free Naloxone (Narcan) kits.  They are bringing approximately 200 kits, and will be give one kit per requesting person until they are gone.  If you have questions, email Brent at  [email protected] .

Spring Challenge registration forms are available now!

The next Get Moving Challenge will kick off on April 15 from 11:30 am- 1:00 pm, immediately following Nitze's Hippity Hoppity 3K and Easter Egg Hunt. Danville Schools will be hosting their 10,000 Step day concurrently. Everyone who attends the kick-off will receive a free Get Moving Tote Bag. You can come out and get moving and put in your 10,000 steps by walking, running, jumping on an inflatable, doing ZUMBA or participating in a 10 mile casual bike ride with City Commissioner, Rick Serres (starts at noon). Boyle County Humane Society will be there with puppies and Boyle County Extension will share some healthy snacks. Other businesses will also join us with information about their events and services. 

You can complete your Get Moving registration at the kick-off or print it off here and return it to McDowell Wellness Center. Packets with instructions for the challenge will be available at the kick-off and at McDowell Wellness Center beginning April 1
