Building Bright Futures
Your source for all things early childhood

We are officially well into the holiday season.  I see Christmas lights decorating towns and houses, all the commercials advertising for the newest gadget or toy and even received my first holiday card. I know this time of year can be stressful. Let's remember to take time for ourselves and self care.

Are you interested in learning about what other BBF regions are doing?  Take a look at this newsletter and learn what is going on throughout the state.

Springfield Area BBF in ACTION

Thank you
to all of you who made the Diaper Dump successful.  We were able to fill the truck and collect wipes, diapers and money to support Time for a Change Diaper Bank.  Anyone needing diapers are able to go to Parks Place Community Resource Center in Bellows Falls on Tuesdays from 12-4 to pick up diapers and wipes.  If this time doesn't work then call Parks Place (802) 463-9927.  If you would like to donate to the diaper bank to continue to support the effort look for bins around the community including at the Springfield Area Parent Child Center and the Rockingham Free Public Library or stop by Parks Place.

Thank you to all of those who helped support Building Bright Futures and the Vermont Parent Child Center Network in the #GivingTuesday fundraising campaign.  BBF was able to raise over $1,000!
The Springfield Region was chosen as one of four pilot sites for Early Multi Tiered Systems of Support
Early MTSS guides early childhood sites in the implementation of evidenced based practices that support the social and emotional development of all young children. Participation in this effort provides administrators, early educators and families with the knowledge and tools needed to promote school readiness.

The Early MTSS regional pilot will support BBF Regional Coordinators to lead their region's development and implementation of a region-wide infrastructure to guide implementation, sustainability and scale-up of Early MTSS.  More updates to come!

If you are interested in learning more or would like to join the Early MTSS Team please send me an email etaetzsch@buildingbrightfutures.org.
