It's snowing again.  My parking lot is a mess.  One of the advantages of moving to town is the mud factor.  

Since I am spending little time in the winery there is not much I can say about it.  I have spent exactly zero time in the vineyard so I hav e nothing there.  We have hit negative 15 a couple times already this year.  I'm a little nervous about my Seyval vines. T hats getting nippy for those tender ones.  Regardless there is enough stuff to be done that I don't have time to worry.
 
The project in town then.  By the end of today which is Tuesday, Zimbelmans should have the second fl oor above the kitchen in place.  The spot the kitchen sits was an old racket ball court.  The second story to the building was removed when they installed the court.
 While tall ceilings in rooms are nice 24 feet would have been excessive for a kitchen.  Strobels have been working on the stairs to access the mezzanine level.  
The support structure to hold it in place is done.  Waiting on some footings to be poured and the actual stairs to be built.  The balance of this week and next will be cutting concrete so we can install plumbing lines.  Hold on now.  I know what you are thin king.  Concrete and plumbing.  Doesn't get any sexier than that.  Well you are right.  We will maintain our focus I assure you.

Feb 3rd: Rib Night!
This is the meal that made Smokin' Dan a household name in these parts.  Join us tonight for Pecan Smoked Baby Back Ribs with generous BBQ side dishes.  $18.99

Feb 4th:  Smoked Brisket
Smokin' Dan will be serving his famous Pecan Smoked Beef Brisket & Pork Loin tonight.  This one is a customer favorite.  $18.99

Feb 10th:Baked Lasagna
Hearty blend of Italian sausage and beef with homemade sauce, garlic, basil, and tons of cheese.  We'll be serving this deep dish lasagna with a mixed greens salad and garlic bread. $14.99

Feb 11th: Steak
Join us for beef tenderloin steaks cooked to perfection with garlic mashed potatoes, fresh sautéed vegetables, mixed greens salad, bread, & dessert.  $20.99

Feb 17th: Chicken Parmesan
We take a full chicken breast and make it great with a fresh herb and cheese breading. Then we prepare it so it's nice and crispy on the outside, while juicy and tender on the inside! Served over a mound of spaghetti with house-made marinara, fresh basil and mozzarella cheese. It's served with sautéed veggies, mixed greens salad, bread & dessert. $15.99

Feb 18th:  New York Strip
New York Strip steaks cooked to perfection with garlic mashed potatoes, fresh sautéed vegetables, mixed greens salad, bread, & dessert. $19.99

Feb 24th:  Smoked Brisket
You know the drill. Pecan smoked brisket, potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, corn muffins, bread, drunken apples and dessert. Always amazing. $18.99

Feb 25th: Smoked Salmon and Pork Loin
Dan's awesome smoked salmon fillets, smoked pork loin and all the great sides! Always a delicious meal! $18.99
