Principal Message:  January 26, 2017

Dear Parents,

Happy Thursday!   I hope that you are having a fantastic week.  If you have a fourth grader, you most likely know that we are making our way to Austin tomorrow morning at 6:00am.  What you might not know, is I will be joining our 4 th  Grade students and staff for our annual trip to tour the State Capitol and Bob Bullock Museum in Austin, Texas.    Should you need assistance, please feel free to call me on my cell phone at (214)551-4503 or our office at (469) 742-8100.  Our 4th  graders should be arriving at Lovejoy Friday evening at approximately 8:30.  I will be making call outs throughout the day with updates and posting pictures on Facebook. Mrs. Boxell and the rest of our students and staff will have a great day of learning at Lovejoy Elementary.

As a reminder, please drop of your child in the morning through our drop off line. Parents should not be dropping off our students in the side parking lot. If you would like to walk your child into school, then you can park your car and walk your child into school.  Thank you in advance for helping us keep all students safe and following this procedure.  If you drop off between 7:35 - 7:45, you don't have to wait in line! J

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

All My Best,
Wendy Craft

NEW! Congratulations to our Students With Perfect Attendance and No Tardies
Today, Ms. Boxell and I had the pleasure of having lunch with those students who had perfect attendance and no tardies.  All totaled, we had 124  students join us in the Leopard Spot during their assigned lunch time.  Thanks go out to you for making this a top priority.  We certainly understand children not attending school when they are ill. As you know,  attendance is important!  When here, children are learning, it supports our overall school rating with the Texas Education Agency (yes, this is a part of our accountability system), and it greatly affects the funding of our school.   So thank you, Lovejoy Parents!
