FROM THE OFFICE OF THE PRINCIPAL:

Dear Parents:

This week our students will be taking their midterm exams.  These exams are 20% of the semester grade, and all students should be taking them seriously.  Teachers have been working to prepare students for this week, and we had two well-attended study nights last week to support our academic programs.  Students should ask final questions on Monday in classes in order to get ready for the three testing days.

We will have 11:30 dismissals during exam week.  Bus transportation will run on exam days.  In the event that your student is absent for any exam, our make-up day is Friday, January 27.  There is no bus transportation on Friday.  Any absence from an exam must be documented by a doctor's note.

Our second semester begins on January 30 with our celebration of Catholic Schools Week.  We thank you for your constant support of our school and your choice to send your student to CCHS.

Have a great week,
Heather Crisci
Principal
IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE ADMINISTRATION:

Dear Parents:
We have been made aware of a fake solicitation letter traveling through the area, especially the Pennsauken area. The letter asks for donations to the special education department at CCHS and has what looks like official CCHS letterhead. See copy below.
Please do not give any money to this group and contact the Cherry Hill Police Department with any descriptions of those who have asked you.
Thank you for your cooperation.

REMINDERS FROM THE OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS:

Final Reminder
Student Attendance & Semester Exams:  All students are expected to attend their scheduled semester exams on January 24, 25, and 26.  If a student is absent on an exam day, the parent/guardian must call the school and a doctor's note is needed to verify the absence.  Students will not be permitted to make-up exams without a doctor's note.  Bus transportation will be provided on January 24, 25, and 26.  Exam make-up day is Friday, January 27; bus transportation will not be provided on January 27.

Students who do not have a first session exam, may find their own transportation to school and come in for their second session exam.  Students who are not scheduled for a second session exam may arrange transportation to leave school early.  Students who do not have transportation to come in late or leave early must report to the dining hall during their non-scheduled exam session.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Attendance:   The first semester ends January 26, 2017.  The student handbook clearly outlines the following: " Because regular attendance is so important, students whose absences are excessive will receive failing grades in each of his/her courses for the current semester.  A student who is absent ten (10) days in one semester without providing acceptable verification of those days will receive a grade of 65 for each course.  Each additional absence will result in a further deduction of 5 points for the semester.  Examples of acceptable verification of absence are doctor's note for illness, court documents for legal appointments, funeral card or obituary for bereavement days, and official college notes for college visits."  If you have any concerns for your student, please do not hesitate to contact Student Affairs as soon as possible
