FIFTY-TWO YEARS OF DEDICATED BOARD MEMBERS
Self-Help Enterprises' Board is made up of a diverse group of people who are selected on the basis of individual qualifications and interests. The Board strives for a balance of public and private sector viewpoints as well as a diversity in gender, racial and ethnic backgrounds.

Today, our Board consists of 16 members - Susan Zachary-Kreps (Board Chair), Dave Herb (Vice Chair), Richard Barron, Ray Chavez, Mike Chrisman, Bob Friesen, Yolanda Gonzales, Marvin Hansen, Laura Higareda-Chapa, Kayode Kadara, Lupe Martinez, Graciela Martinez, Isabel Olmos, Gary Rodriguez, Ralph Rosedale, and Duane Scott.

The Board maintains several standing committees, including the Nominating Commitee which interviews prospective Board candidates and recommends board members for leadership positions, and the Multifamily Committee which is responsible for in-depth review of asset management issues and rental housing development priorities.

Since our founding in 1965, Self-Help Enterprises has consistently included past, present, and potential participants on its Board of Directors. In addition, the Board reserves one-third of the Board seats for low-income individuals and residents of low-income neighborhoods. In this way, the Board seeks to remain responsive to and focused on the needs and interests of Self-Help Enterprises' participants and the communities we strive to improve. Since 2010, seven new members have joined the board. The newer members represent a range of interests: engineering, education, environmental justice, planning, legal, and natural resources.
