TMS Digital Timeline - Help us Celebrate our 40th!
Early Issues of TMS News Needed
To help celebrate The Masonry Society's (TMS) Ruby Anniversary (40th birthday), TMS has staff has drafted  a digital timeline that you can view here. If you see special events we may have missed, or if you have historic photographs from Society Meetings, Seminars, or activities, please forward the to TMS staff.

To add fun to the celebrations, we'll be having some "bragging rights" contests such as:
  • Can you help identify individuals in photographs? For those that have been TMS Members for a while, try these 3. The first 1 is easy - all past Presidents of TMS. The others are tougher. Let TMS know who is pictured, and the one who identifies the most people correctly wins! (Bragging rights). Additional photos will be posted in the future, so if you have some great photos, send them to TMS Staff. We'll post photos with names to the website so you can check your memory, and see who wins!

  • Posting memories from the past. For example, during TMS's 1st Annual Meeting in 1991, did you know that " free two-step dance lessons" were provided by Richard E. Klingner (FTMS), Russell H. Brown (HTMS), and J. Gregg Borchelt (HTMS)? According to the article in TMS News Vol. 3, No. 2, 'the only glitch in the evening affair was a deficiency in female partners." However Rochelle Jaffe (FTMS) and Judy Whitten gave "brilliant performances". Sadly TMS does not have photographs of this event, so if you do, please forward to the office.
  • TMS News/E-News. While creating the timeline, staff was disappointed to be reminded that we have lost many past issues of TMS new before 2005 (Volumes 1 and 2, Volume 3, No. 4 and perhaps (if printed) a No. 6, Vol. 5, No. 2 (and any past No. 4), Vol. 11, No. 1 & 2, Vol. 12, No. 2, Vol. 13, No. 1 and 3, and Vol. 17, No. 1). If you have copies of these, please scan and send to TMS, or send the originals to the Office. TMS will post back issues of TMS News to the Members Area of the website later this year.

Watch for details on the birthday celebration during 2017. We'll culminate our birthday celebration at TMS's Annual Meeting next November 2-7 in La Jolla, California. Until then, feel free to share some of  your thoughts about, and experiences with, TMS and its Members with staff. We'll compile these for posting to the website in 2017.

The problem with the Forward button though is that it only allows you to Forward to a limited number of email addresses (7). For longer lists, you may have to do this several times. Alternatively, you could Forward the email with a personal note at the top, explaining that if they do not wish to receive the TMS forwarded messages from you, that they contact you directly to be removed from your particular email list.

Please note: Your email address is from a list solely owned and maintained by The Masonry Society (TMS) for our exclusive email purposes. TMS does NOT share our email lists. If you are a TMS Member, sit on a TMS committee, you should not "unsubscribe" as your email is essential to your membership and is used for committee balloting.
