Want to Volunteer?

We have an immediate need for volunteers in the following programs:

Pamper & Prayer:  Nurses, CNA's and administrative support volunteers needed to assist at monthly foot care clinics. Typically held the 3rd
Thursday evening each month. Must be comfortable interacting with patients in a spiritual setting.

Needs Assessment:  Administrative support volunteers needed to help process paperwork and enter new patient data. Computer/data entry skills and an eye for detail needed

Mental Health: Licensed therapists to provide short term client counseling. Particular need for male counselors to provide care and comfort to our male clientele

Summer Intern:  Opportunity for client interaction while conducting Intake & Assessment interviews with those seeking HFHC services. More information in next months issue.

Holland Free Health Clinic wants to thank YOU!

BCBSM Award Grant given to the Holland Free Health Clinic

HFHC recently received a $25,000 grant from the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to help fund coordinated care for the underserved and uninsured people of the Ottawa community. The grant was a part of Blue Cross' Strengthening the Safety Net Program.  Jeff Compagner, the executive director of HFHC, responded, "This generous grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan will help us continue to help hundreds of our neighbors get healthier and improve their lives."

At Holland Free Health Clinic, people come with painful medical crises but have not received care due to their financial situation. For many clients, money must pay for groceries rather than a much-needed medication. Others cannot perform daily tasks of living due to poor vision and the inability to afford prescription glasses. Thanks to this generous grant, HFHC can continue serving these patients to allow them to live healthy lives. Read on...

Donate a Smile: A Campaign to Secure Health Programs for the Underserved

It's that time of year again! Our annual Donate a Smile Campaign will begin with a kick-off event on Thursday, April 27, 2017. This critical effort will ensure HFHC continues to be an integral part of the local health care system by providing basic services to people who would otherwise go without care. Visit our website to view the 2016 Donate a Smile Campaign success and get excited for all the success to come in 2017!
