Take time to receive the gifts of silence waiting for you. Accommodation, meals and spiritual direction are offered

We will explore different aspects of Ignatian Spirituality for everyday life, e.g. prayer of the senses, discernment and meditation. Facilitator: Jane McDonell ibvm.

Set aside time to reflect with others on the meaning of Lent. Simple breakfast, a reflection and a time of prayer & sharing.

From the Archives...

On July 16, 1946, the Loretto Sisters took possession of their new property and changed the name from "The Pines" to "Maryholme".

Loretto Maryholme continues to be a welcoming space that is  "something more than ordinary" to this day...


Celebrating Mary Ward

Mary Ward founded the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM) and Congregation Jesu (CJ) as a community of women free from the confines of cloister  to meet the needs 
of their time.

Today IBVM and CJ Sisters minister around the globe. 
They commit themselves to promoting dignity and liberation for all, especially women and children; challenging unjust systems and structures; standing with those on the fringes 
of society; and showing reverent care for the earth 
and all of creation.

L oretto Maryholme Spirituality Centre
is a sacred space  of peace and beauty on Lake Simcoe for those seeking to restore energies needed for personal and communal transformation.

The Centre is available for use by individuals and groups whose activities reflect
the Centre's mission. Facilitation of a workshop, a day of reflection, or an opportunity for spiritual direction can be arranged.
