LIFE GROUPS LAUNCH PARTY

LIFE GROUPS

We are so excited to share with you our new initiative that begins this month:  Life Groups. Life Groups are transformational small groups that will help all who participate grow closer to God and to each other. Life Groups are not a new concept. As a matter of fact, we are reviving a practice from our early Methodist roots. John Wesley instituted groups called "The Class Meeting" and actually made them a requirement of membership.

The current sermon series "Just Engage" is all about relationships and so are Life Groups. Life Groups are small groups of 6-10 people who commit to meet weekly for an hour to an hour and a half to share the answer to one simple question:  How is your life with God? This simple question is very transformative. It causes one to ponder their spiritual life. It opens one's eyes to God's activity in their everyday life. Through sharing, it creates a bond with others in the group. There is no studying or homework.

Three times a year (January, May, and September), we will launch new Life Groups. On January 29, we will hold our first launch party for Life Groups at 10:30 a.m. in the Ministry Center. Come to the launch party to learn all about Life Groups and sign up. There are different days, locations and leaders available, but space is limited so be sure to plan on joining us!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A CHILD'S LIFE
We often say - "What would Jesus do?" The Bible tells us he said, "Let the children come unto me. Do not hinder them...." We have the children, now we need you!
 
TEC REGISTRATION STARTS SOON
TEC registration is coming up January 23 - February 3. Registration starts with current students and then opens to everyone February 8 at 9 am in the Sanctuary.

It is a new year and we great opportunities to get fit inside and out. We invite you to be a part of our fitness classes, Upward Sports and other sports programs.  
 
CURRENT WORSHIP SERIES
Did you ever notice how easily children make new friends? Put two little ones together in a sandbox, and a few minutes later, they've just naturally become best buds.
  
Then we grow up and learn about how people work. We might get hurt. We get a little closed off. Our "sandboxes" are fewer and far between. We've all felt it - that ache, the emptiness, the hunger to engage with others beyond small talk. We know we need to connect with others to be happy. After all, it's a deep relationship that God wants with us. And since we're made in God's image, it's what we're naturally meant to desire with others.
