Last month, we had our holiday door decorating contest and you voted for the winner.
The winner is...
Door #3 - Santa Got Stuck in the Fireplace, decorated by Lisa, and Sarah! Thanks to everyone who participated in our fun contest!
Did you know that January is National Hobby Month?!
What is your hobby?
Barb - I have a ton of hobbies. I love to travel, read, work out and cook. If I had more time I have other things I love to do such as draw, paint, knit, sew and take enrichment classes such as foreign language. There is not enough time in a day!!
Timmy - Although I do like to exercise (love yoga) and read, my family and friends would say that my true hobby is shopping! I love "the thrill of the hunt" and I will shop for anyone!
Lisa - I enjoy doing different arts and craft projects and making things for friends. This year for Christmas, I made everyone a bottle cap crab sign that they could hang up in their favorite outdoor spaces. Each one was personalized with their last name and the year. This one pictured was a demo that I gave to my dad. Everyone had a hand in the project, as I had my friends save up their bottle caps for me since the summer. A lot of beer went in to the making of these crabs!
Karen E. - Tennis and trying new restaurants with friends.
Karen B. -
Gardening has always been a source of pleasure for me. I tend to focus more on vegetable and herb gardening in the spring and summer months, but would like to learn more about perennials and plan to undertake a small landscaping project at our home in 2017.
Sarah- I love to make photobooks and scrapbooks!
Heather - My hobbies include running and reading.
Happy Birthday!
We had a great time celebrating Karen E.'s and Timmy's birthday's this past month with treats from La Cakerie!

January 2016
From the Desk of Barb Clapp...
Rather than making multiple New Year's resolutions, I decided to make one simple resolution: make 2017 my year of "Why Not?" My inspiration for this year's outlook came during a weekly meeting with my team. We were discussing whether or not to take on a new business venture. After a little back and forth I said, "Why Not? Let's try it!" The idea is to try things that are out of your comfort zone or you might not normally do. Keeping an open mind and saying "Why Not?" can open new doors and help you embrace whatever life throws at you. I'm challenging myself, my team and everyone else to make it your year of "Why Not?" too.
Have a Peace Filled and Happy New Year!
Barb
