Tri-City Raceway Park
Announces
2017 Event Dates
Guys Mills, PA --  A new year is underway and with it comes the release of the 2017 Tri-City Raceway Park schedule.

"Mark, Sam and I are extremely pleased with the support we have received and continue to receive from everyone since we purchased and reopened the raceway," commented co-promoter Chad Wagner.  "Our events have been very well received by area businesses and residents as well as the race teams and race fans and we appreciate their support as well as their feedback.  Fans should note that the Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 Sprints, 410 Sprints and a Demo Derby are on the 2017 schedule as a result of this feedback."

One important change for 2017 is that Tri-City Raceway Park will have rain dates for most the events scheduled.  "The race teams and fans voiced their disappointment when Mother Nature forced us to cancel events so we have raindates for many of this season's events, stated Wagner.  "While the major sanctioning bodies cannot provide us with raindates for their events, we were able to work with the regional sanctioning bodies to obtain alternative dates."  The 2017 raindates are noted on the schedule below.

Please note that the speedway telephone number for both at the office and the track have been changed to (814) 795-0718.  In addition the track office mailing address is now 29770 Lyona Road, Guys Mills, PA 16327.

Tri-City Raceway Park will host five oval track events in 2017 as well as two USA-East sanctioned Truck and Tractor Pulls.  The 2017 racing season will kick off on Sunday, May 14th.  The Mother's Day racing card will feature the Allegheny Sprint Tour Racesaver 305 Sprints, the RUSH Modifieds, E-Mods and Vintage Modifieds.

The month of June will see the popular Truck and Tractor Pulls return on Saturday, June 3rd.  The RUSH Late Models will headline the Father's Day racing action on Sunday, June 18th as the Bill Emig Memorial will return to the raceway for the second consecutive year.  In addition to the RUSH Late Models, the 410 Sprints, Racesaver 305 Sprints and RUSH Modifieds will also be in action.

Tony Stewart's Arctic Cat All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprints will return to the raceway on Sunday, July 23rd as part of the Second Annual I-79 Summer Shootout.  The I-79 Summer Shootout will once again feature three days of ASCOC action as Eriez Raceway will host the All-Stars on Friday, July 21st.  The Series' will then travel to Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 22nd before concluding their weekend at the Venango County oval.  The RUSH Late Models and Vintage Modifieds are also on the racing card that evening at the raceway.  Support classes at the Eriez Speedway and Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will be announced by those facilities.

The RUSH Manufacturers Night will headline the August 20th racing program along with the UEMS E-Mods, Allegheny Sprint Tour Racesaver 305 Sprints and Pro-Stocks.

The popular Applefest for the Pro-Stocks will be held on Sunday, September 10th.  This year's event will once again be sanctioned by the Homak Penn-Ohio Pro-Stock Series and the main event will be 50 laps.  The Allegheny Sprint Tour Racesaver 305 Sprints and RUSH Modifieds will also be in action.  Fans should also note that a Demo Derby will conclude the evening's action.

The final event at the speedway will once again be the USA-East Truck Pull Finale, which will take place on Saturday, September 30th.

Drivers will be required to pay a $25.00 one-time registration fee when competing at the raceway in 2017.  Please note that this fee will not apply for the Sprint car competitors competing in the July All-Star Circuit of Champions event, Late Model or Sportsman Modified competitors competing in RUSH Touring Series events or E-Mod competitors competing in the UEMS sanctioned event.
