CIDM STAFF: Have We Met?
Our hearts rejoice in the dynamic Haitian team of staff God has put in place for CIDM.  Utilizing their God-given gifts, these 5 men beautifully work together with one common goal...to share the gospel, teach the Bible and disciple Haitian youth to grow in their walk with Jesus. Weekly they reach  over 1,000 youth with God's love and truth through teaching Bible in 7 Jacmel high schools and the Lavi Reyel bible study.   
Since most of you have never met these fine men, let us introduce them to you.
 
DELPHA
WHAT HE DOES           |                  WHO HE IS 
  • Director of Haitian staff
  • Manages daily logistics & administration
  • Completes weekly reports
  • Teaches leadership training classes
  • Organizes staff meetings
  • Prepares for US team visits
  • Manages CIDM soccer team
Delpha fits the description of "servant leader."  He gets everything done behind the scenes.  He's dependable, wise, responsible, humble & respectful.  His integrity and heart for God make him a true man of valor.

In Delpha's words: "It's amazing to reflect on 2016 and the many wonderful things God has accomplished through CIDM.  God is so good. God is acting through us as we are His hands and feet.  May God bless CIDM."

BRISSO
WHAT HE DOES              |                    WHO HE IS 
  • Director & teacher of the Lavi Reyel (Real Life) bible study 
  • Director & teacher of high school Bible class program
  • Creates bible studies & lessons for Lavi Reyel & high school Bible classes 
  • Trains & directs other CIDM staff Bible teachers
  • Meets with and disciples students
Brisso is a quiet, gentle and humble leader. He is wise beyond his 26 years of life, often acting as a counselor to those around him. He is committed to the work of God and a true servant.

In Brisso's words:  "There's a growing revival happening in Jacmel through the work of CIDM.   I thank God for allowing me to be a part of this ministry, it is such a big privilege for me. "  


JEAN CARLO 
WHAT HE DOES                 |                        WHO HE IS 
  • Teaches Bible classes in the high schools
  • Leads worship for Lavi Reyel on Saturdays and all events
  • Meets with and disciples students
Jean Carlo is a gifted teacher and worship leader. .  When he leads worship, the touch of the Holy Spirit is evident.  He's a humble servant with a deep walk with God.  He is dedicated to serving youth for Christ.

In Jean Carlo's words: "There's  a new generation coming to Christ.  Jacmel needed this and we've seen many of the students set free and come to Christ. The enemy isn't happy with the work we're doing, but God already has given us the victory."  

GENEL

  • eaches Bible classes in the high schools
  • Facilitator of prayer at Lavi Reyel on Saturdays and all events
  • Meets with and disciples students
  • He's a part-time CIDM staff.  He's a student at a bible seminary in Jacmel
Genel has the gift of teaching and is a real prayer warrior. He's full of joy, and makes others laugh with his contagious personality.  He loves the Lord and has a burden for the youth of Jacmel. 

In Genel's words: "I thank Jean Carlo for inviting me to Lavi Reyel.  Through him I met Brisso and since that day, we are all 3 brothers.  Since 'Ive been working with CIDM (Aug 2016), a lot of people have accepted Christ.  Being Christs' servant is an exciting life."

YOUGAINS

  • Faithfully serves in the Lavi Reyel bible study
  • Teaches New Believers Classes
  • Teaches the CALL evangelism program
  • Shares Christ and invites new youth to Lavi Reyel
  • He's a part-time CIDM staff. 
Yougains is passionate about Christ and telling others about Him.  He often shares his testimony to strangers because he loves glorifying Christ, utilizing his natural gift of evangelism! He's hardworking, trustworthy and quite hilarious. 

In Yougains' words:  "By sharing the gospel in the high schools and at Lavi Reyel, students hear it, then cry out for Christ.  When they go home to their villages they share the Good News with their family & friends and more are saved.  To God be the glory!"

ANNIVERSARY OF 2010 EARTHQUAKE
January 12th marked the 7th anniversary of Haiti's devastating earthquake, killing over 300,000 people and leaving millions injured and homeless. Progress has been made in Haiti's restoration and CIDM has  been privileged to be involved in it.
Even more important than buildings,
 lives are being restored and re-born  in Christ.

The youth of Haiti have an insatiable hunger and thirst for truth. God is raising up young Christian leaders through CIDM's Lavi Reyel (Real Life) weekly bible study and bible classes at 7 Jacmel high schools. God is bringing beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61) to the precious people of Haiti. We thank you for your prayers and partnership on this commemorative day.

PRAISE REPORT: DAY OF WORSHIP
Changed lives - 10 students accepted Christ!! 

Three times per year, Celie Lamour, the all-girls public jr/sr high school in Jacmel, has a party to celebrate the end of each school session. They always have a DJ, dancing and alcohol...not a good scene with 3,000+ high school girls.

On December 16th, this party was drastically different.  For the first time ever, Jesus Christ was honored and celebrated at this public school party.  It was powerful as Christian students who attend this school and Lavi Reyel confidently stood up and shared Christ  with their peers.   CIDM provided a full band, the "Everything" skit, games, a time of prayer & worship.  Brisso shared the gospel and 10 young women accepted Christ.

We praise God for using CIDM to reach young women perhaps for the first time with love, hope, forgiveness, and joy found in Christ! Haitians were ministering to Haitians.  Thank you for your partnership so we can sponsor these types of life changing events.

PRAYER REQUESTS
  • Each of our staff members & their families
  • Jan. 12th marks the 7 year anniversary of the fatal earthquake. Please pray for Haiti's continued restoration, healing, and protection
  • Provision for a new facility for Saturday Lavi Reyel Bible study and all required equipment (seating, etc.)
  • Continued and more aggresive revival in Jacmel in 2017
  • Godly wisdom & direction for CIDM in 2017
