There are many exciting events planned for
Catholic Schools Week this year.
Mon, January 30th:
Crazy Hat Day- Students may wear a hat of their choice
Eat Lunch with a buddy
School Wide Bingo
Tuesday, January 31st:
Favorite Sports Team Shirt Day- Students may wear their favorite sports team shirt
Magic Show- All grades
Student Art Show- 2:00 pm- 5:30 pm. Students must be accompanied by a parent.
Wed, February 1st:
International Dress Down Day- Wear your nationality's colors and/or outfit that represents your heritage.
Stamford Police Dept Guest Speakers- All Grades
Thurs, February 2nd:
Field Trip to Maritime Aquarium- Grades 3-5
Field Trip to Stepping Stones- Grades K-2
Fri, February 3rd:
Crazy Sock Day- Wear your favorite crazy socks
Geography Bee- Grades 4 and 5
Board Games- Grade K-3
St. Joseph's Parenting Center Food Drive Ends

Food Drive
|
As part of our Catholic Schools Week celebration, we will having a Food Drive to benefit the
St. Jospeph's Parenting Center
in Stamford.
The food drive will begin on
Monday, Jan 9th and end on
Friday, Feb 3rd.
Mrs. Cruz will deliver the food to
St. Joseph's Parenting Center on the last day
of the drive along with some of
our students.
We are asking each class to donate the following non-perishable
food items:
PKA- Baby Food, PKB- Canned or bagged beans,
Grade K-Canned fish & meat, Grade 1- Canned or boxed soup, Grade 2- Canned fruits & veggies, Grade 3- Cereal,
Grade 4- Pasta and Grade 5- Uncooked rice.
The class with the most items collected at the end of the drive will receive a free Dress Down Day!

For Heart is coming to our school on February 10

Meet
Adelynn, age 6. "
I was born with an atrial septal defect (ASD). A cardiologist fixed my heart using cardiac catheterization. I
have some restrictions, but not many and very soon I will be able to do all activities again. Now my heart is working normally
and I can live a long healthy life. I hope to be either a nurse
or a doctor."

Hot Lunch Schedule Changes

PLEASE NOTE:
Thursday, February 2nd -
All students will be on Field Trips and will
need bag lunches.
Do not order hot lunch on this day.
Thursday, February 16th and Friday, February 17th-
No Hot Lunch available, caterers kitchen will be closed.

Orders for the 2016-17 OLSS Yearbooks are being taken now. Yearbooks are
$25 each.
Please make checks payable to: OLSS.
Order deadline is
February 17, 2017.

Have you taken any great photos of your child at a school event or their class this year that you think should be included in this year's yearbook? If so, you can upload them to our yearbook website.
Only photos that have been taken with a camera are usable. We can not use any camera phone photos.
