OVARIAN PSYCOS

This has been a banner year for OVARIAN PSYCOS!  With sold out film screenings across the country, dynamic Q&As, and several audience and people's choice award-wins at premiere film festivals, the film has created impact around the globe, from New York City to Beirut and beyond!

Riding at night through streets deemed dangerous in Eastside Los Angeles, the Ovarian Psycos use their bicycles to confront the violence in their lives. At the helm of this crew is founder Xela de la X, a single mother and poet M.C. dedicated to recruiting an unapologetic, misfit crew of women of color.  The film  OVARIAN PSYCOS  (Joanna Sokolowski, Kate Trumbull-LaValle), rides along with the "Ova's" exploring the impact of the group's activism, born of feminist ideals, and an urban/hood mentality, on neighborhood women and communities as they confront injustice, racism, gentrification, and violence, taking back their streets one ride at a time.
