Join the event organizers to talk about ideas and plans for the community's Yom HaAtzmaut Celebration for 2017. This Yom HaAtzmaut celebration - Israel's Independence Day - is the largest celebration of Israel in Wisconsin. Organized by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, it will be held this year from 4-6:30 pm on May 7 at Milwaukee County War Memorial Center, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive. Email for more information.

Rabbi Greenberg will address the centrality of Covenant in the Jewish and Catholic traditions and argue that it must be restored between our two traditions so that we might apply this partnership approach to restore understanding, dialogue, and cooperation in American society which has become deeply polarized. * One Happy Camper provides grants up to $1,000 for first-time campers at Jewish overnight camps.

Scholarships available for Jewish overnight camps and summer Israel programs for young people.

* Semester or year in Israel from the Sarah B. and Louis M. Kesselman Israel Program Scholarship Fund.

* Hecht Family Memorial College Scholarship Fund to outstanding Jewish high school seniors to help fund the college freshman year .
