Students do not need to register or pay a fee for this test. All juniors will participate. We encourage students to focus their preparation efforts with this test date in mind.

Stallions in the Spotlight

Junior Abbey Dop was the winner of our Poetry Out Loud Competition held last Wednesday. Freshman Frankie Bonte was the school's runner-up. Abbey will compete in the Ohio Regional competition on  Sunday, February 19 at the Ohio History Center.

Students in the Career Awareness/Mentorship Program participated in mock interviews last week during their lunch periods. Dressed in professional attire, students met with parents and alumni who conducted the interviews.

Stallion sophomore Jon Randel, a Life Scout with Westerville Troop 64, attended Boy Scout of America's Northern Tier high adventure program last weekend. He experienced the Okpik Dogsled Trek where they headed out into the wilderness with their dog teams and camped with the dogs out on the ice. He and his fellow Scouts took ownership of a dog team, learned how to feed, house, harness, and otherwise care for them.
Scouts experienced a true Northwoods winter: learning how to thrive in subzero temperatures, travel across frozen wilderness lakes and  sleep under the stars with no shelter.

Yesterday, Stallions for Life members attended the Right to Life Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral and a Pro-Life Rally at the State House.

Today we celebrated the Feast of St. Francis de Sales. Bishop Campbell joined us this morning for a beautiful mass, and met with some of our student leaders directly following. We also honored Office Manager Ms. Chris Johnson today as this school year marks her 50th year as a Stallion! She graduated from SFD in 1970, and began working in the school office the Monday following her Commencement ceremony.

Daily Reflection

Loving Father, I give You thanks, for in the artistry of winter, no detail goes untended. Each snowflake You make worthwhile in singular beauty or within a sparkling panorama. So, too, I give you thanks for the splendor of individuality in people as You created them to be.
