City Council and Staff Reaffirm Commitment to Steps, Lanes and Paths

Upcoming Community Meeting
Wednesday, January 25, 2017 - 7:00 pm
Mill Valley Community Center

At Tuesday's City Council Meeting the Council accepted a broad range of recommendations from the City Manager to improve the Steps, Lanes, and Paths program and directed him to return at a future meeting with details and implementation plans. The City Council heard from Community members during the meeting and agreed that the conversation would continue at a community meeting on January 25, 2017 (7:00 pm at the Mill Valley Community Center) that would be a joint Save Our Trails Committee and Special City Council Meeting.

Reminder: Please Do Not Drive on the Sidewalks on Miller Avenue

There have been a number of instances where drivers are driving on the sidewalk along Miller Avenue to bypass other vehicles waiting at a stop sign. Please wait your turn to make a turn legally. This is a major safety issue for workers, pedestrians, and other drivers.

We understand that it may be difficult at times to navigate the construction zone. Please slow down, use caution, pay attention to cones and delineators, and do not drive on the sidewalks.

Winter Storm Update: Prepare for Another Wet Weekend

The third in a series of strong storms is expected to produce periods of moderate to heavy rain Saturday night through Sunday morning. This additional rain on already saturated soils may lead to flooding of area streams. Please take precaution.  Updates to local conditions will be posted to our website

Also, please remember that high winds have the potential to knock down trees and may cause power outages. To check on the status of a power outage visit the PG&E power outage map .

Miller Avenue Streetscape Project

Staff and local businesses were pleased to see that new drainage improvements near Miller Avenue and La Goma (near the 2am Club) prevented the usual flooding in that area during last week's storms. The success of the drainage facilities on that part of Miller Avenue is a preview of the many improvements the project hopes to accomplish.
